Meet Brendan Shannon. In March of 2010, Brendan was diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma – a rare, life-threatening pediatric cancer. That is, cancer of the eye. Immediately, he began seeing a specialist and underwent systemic chemotherapy in attempts to save Brendan’s eye and retain minimal vision. Though he is currently free of cancer, he continues to receive continuous check-ups to ensure that the cancer does not return. Visit Brendan’s story at his website. Butterfly Kisses has been blessed to be a part of Brendan’s courageous fight against retinoblastoma.
