Meet Samuel Adams. When Samuel was just three years old, he was diagnosed with cancer after contracting the H1N1 virus, or the “swine flu” shortly after baby brother, Jack, was born. Because he had cancer, his platelets were broken down by the motrin, which led to his diagnosis of ALL Leukemia in November of 2009. In December of 2010, Sam entered the maintenance stage of treatment, which consists of monthly spinal taps, chemo pills, and a monthly chemo infusion. Visit his story at caringbridge.
