Meet Audrianna Bartol. At the young, tender age of just 2 years old, Audrianna was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Mync Amplified Neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of pediatric cancer. Audrianna immediately began a harsh, intense regimen of treatment that left her often weak and ill; however, her parents were thrilled to find out that the treatments had succeeded – Audrianna was NED (no evidence of disease). This joy was replaced by a great fear when on August 5th, 2011, a set of routine scans revealed that her Neuroblastoma had aggressively returned. Relapsed neuroblastoma has no known cure, so as Audrianna’s mother, Angela Bartol, explains: “Now its just HOPE that they find something, anything that works to kill this EVIL invading her body once again”. Audrianna has continued to undergo experimental therapies and chemo infusions in the hopes that it will work in providing more cherished time and memories for the Bartol family.
